They do not make arwd car with an ohv V8. Therefore, their technology explanation does makesense as to why they're in the truck series but not WC. I think the factthat Chrysler is in NATCC (Stratus) and the endurance GT2 races (Viper)shows they are interested in racing when the technology and products areclose to what they make for the street.Tinadog says: hard to take the sport of NASCAR seriously when they tell you that you can't do something and then they let other manufacturers do it...Chrysler would kick the snot out of Ford and GM if they thought they could do it without NASCAR changing the rules on themin an effort to "even things up for the sake of competition".
chrysler cars : I was telling a friend of mine who works at Chrysler about thisnewsgroup and we got to discussing future work being done there.He was wondering if I could post a message asking for some input onwhat you folks liked or disliked about Chrysler cars, specifically theinterior, that might be useful for future cars. He's looking forissues on seats, door trim, dash board, gauges, etc. Anything on theinterior.More gray- or white-faced gauges like the Intrepid! That's what the Stratus should have. Why not make this a Dodge theme? This would look good on Caravan too.Also, the JAs need a console armrest/storage compartment and the overhead console with compass, thermometer, and trip computer, and rear center armrest and split rear seat.Expand the seats on the JX to other lines (these seats have the integral belts).Bring back door map pockets on the minivans. Add door carpet to all the LHs and JAs.And, although I'm probably a lone voice crying in the wilderness, I like the digital gauges on my 93 Town & Country. Why not offer them at least as an option?

The optical distortion through the Cirrus' windshield is a problem with the seat elevated so my back likes it.Make the cupholder wells deeper. My wife likes big sodas. Test against all sizes of drinks at the top four fast food joints. Also, make both cupholders in front available with "coffee handle" cutouts. A very nice touch for the driver's side on the Cirrus.The gauges reflect too much -- I think this is a problem mostly with the plastic covering them, not the gauges themselves.The storage area ahead of the cupholders is wasted for me, in the Cirrus LX, without the CD player.
chrysler cars : Tall people would appreciate headrests with a longer extension, and with stouter metal rods. Most people don't drive with head restraints behind their heads, but I do, and at 6'0, the current head restraint is at the correct height for me. It is too short for my 6' 2" brother, and wouldn't help as much in preventing whiplash in a wreck.The fabric on my Cirrus LX makes "fuzzy pills" where the seat back and the seat bottom meet.Overall, I like the interior of my Cirrus, though. As a design, it is well done.My suggestion: Reinstate the Rear Wheel Drive System in the entire MoParfamily!Not just the Viper, the trucks and the Prowler, but in more of the othervehicles. It handles better, easier to work in the engine bay too. Doesn't matter if it's more expensive to build, the quality is muchbetter, and will probably sell more too.-- "Oh give me a home, where the F-Bodies roam...and the Olds and the Big Chevys play...Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word...And the exhaust smoke is dark grey all day..."I must agree about the guages. The tired old white on black is boring.

Look at the headrest in a Volvo 850.It cradles your skull like a catcher's mit and it is fixed in place. Also,improvethe seats like the seats in the 850. Although my '95 Vision Tsi has someof thebest seats available in any American/Canadian car, they could be improved.Also, increase the roof height.
