chrysler parts : Gotta migrate to the LS430 with the $12K imitate the MB S class package. I'llgive it a couple of years to debug, then will be time to dump the S. Would havedumped it last year or this, but the new S is just too small and crampedfeeling. As they add more and more Chrysler parts, the MB quality will continue to sinkto the level of american cars. Wish it weren't so.mcbrue sadly under the bridge in the trailer down by the riverI don't think much of Chrysler will be left in 3-4 years. The carportion is toast, the minivan and Jeep segment will be fine, the PTcruiser too. But the sedans, and coupe derivatives from them, arehistory in my opinion.Very true. The Chrysler cars are getting very old and they still haven't got aclue on bringing in new models.Why would you think that ? The Chrysler sedans are designed for a totallydifferent customer than M-B however in their own market they are pretty damndecent.. especially if you compare it to what Ford or GM have to offer inthe sedan group for the same cost.
chrysler parts : I wouldn't be surprised if Chrysler , run directly by German management,mismanaged Chrysler into the mud. M-B customers are not Chrysler customersand Chrysler customers are not M-B customers. Too much of a demographic andcutlural difference.I agree. I think Chrysler (under MB management) is headed for trouble andsorry to say I thin MB too. MB is headed towards mass production,world-wide cars sales. That's a good approach if you're Ford or Toyota. Idon't think it makes sense for MB.I sit hear and wonder where this all leaves the S class. This car seems tohave been the definition of luxury for years. What a beautiful car! But ifthey are going to toss them out of the factory with a Dodge alternator and aPlymouth transmission, its all over folks!(Doge and Plymouth parts are examples - I don't know what they are currentlydoing at MB)With all the trouble I've had with my S320 with only 82,000 miles onit, I would think that Chrysler parts would be a significantimprovement!Come on, an air conditioner evaporator going bad... never heard of itin any other car but a Benz. Of course it costs 4000 dollars tofix....!

No one could have made the visual detection.And no degree of measuring would have isolated the flaw either. Once again,did you read the attached postings prior to making your utterances? We aretalking about a broken overdrive shaft assembly. There is metal to metalwhich would present as normal to any eye. What's more, the measurements areexactly the same as one that isn't broken nor defective. Chrysler statedthat the structural integrity of the metal was just not very sound in thiscase. But, being that it was out of warranty, no cigar.Besides, just how do the "competent transmission shops" rule out thesesdefects, especially in situations like mine? If they can ever master thisformula, there are a dozen 'Five Star' dealerships in my area that could usetheir help. I have had defective rotors, horns, water pumps and sensors thatwere all sold to me by the dealership; installed by the dealership andclaimed defective by the same dealership.
