Ti beingshort for Tiger (dunno why they didn't use the whole word, maybe thebudget wouldn't stretch to it?)It was a 1600cc, twin 40s, 120mph ish brick.The more serious version was the lotus sunbeam.Next time "I'll find out more" before I post .. oopsGrahamThe TI was different again it was produced to homologate the twin webbersand other Avenger Tiger mods for the Sunbeam body shape.The Sunbeam predated the Horizon, I think -- the Horizon wasthe FWD replacement for the RWD Sunbeam.No the Horizion didn't replace the Sumbeam they sold along side each otheruntil after Lynwood closed.The Sunbeam Ti label was a shameless ripp off of the BMW 2002Ti and 2002 Tiiimmage.The Horizion was just a Simca 1100 mechanically in every respect right downto the single choke Solex carb.

chrysler uk : Here is what you do ... mount the new tires on different rims so when youtake it in for warranty repair they can not complain. As for the speedochange, the change from 225/75 or 235/75 tires to a 30 inch change wontchange your speedometer reading signifigantly, less than 10% probably. Also Ithink that the speedometer works off a magnet and a sensor now so there is nogear to change.You should write or call Chrysler and complain about the dealers attitude. Inthe U.S I doubt any dealers would say your warranty is void for going up oneor two tire sizes.Strange skid plates are a factory option if I am not mistaken. Additionally, the OBDII system used in the Jeep TJ usesa signal generated by the sensor that this gear is attached -to(outside the tranny). It's literally a 5-minute job to swap the gear,but a 20-minute job explaining to the dealership what gear you need toorder, even with a part number, nomenclature, tooth count, etc. It'ssomething that usually never gets changed by a dealer. They don'tfail & are only swapped during ring/pinion gear changes & significanttyre size swaps.

They do not offer thesame factory warranty as Chrysler (U.S.) does. Many of the warrantyterms (U.S.) are desiogned to meet U.S. legal requirements placed onthe manufacturers.FWIW, under the standard Chrysler warranty, no modifications actually"void" the warranty. Any additional parts, of course, are not covered(like a new stereo), but if the dealer can determine that themodification is the cause of the problem (like a blown u-joint whenyou have heavier aftermarket tyres fitted) they are under noobligation to repair (not under warranty terms - i.e. for free). Iwould suspect that Jeep U.K. would have similar terms. Chrysler hasan arbitration process if you think the dealership is wrong, but theprocess is often a long & drawn-out one.I doubt your 30'' tyres would void your warranty, in spite of theseemingly uninformed claim that Frosts made. It may void yourinsurance, but not the warranty. Jeeps were available with 30'' tyresas a factory option. Furthermore, there's no way that 30 tyres couldcause your seat problems. Look in your owner's manual. It shouldprecicely explain the warranty terms.

But I suspect that Jeep-UK will attemptto weasel their way out of any warranty hassles that they possibly can!..I Spoke to other Jeep owners about hassles they've had and I have to say I wassupprised at Jeep's quite block headed response. If I had any idea about theirattitude towards their customers for after sales and probably wouldn't have boughta Jeep.Still she is a nice little vehicle even if Jeep-UK are not very good at customerrelations.I must admit to wondering why I should bother at all with servicing with Jeepapproved parts etc. I mean they probably will void my warranty because I got mud onmy Jeep!. <Grin>.--Its a Jeep thing..You wouldn't understand.URL: ORIts an Anoraks thing.. My dealer's been great - every time it goes in for a service,there's usually something new on it (like my disconnects, hand-throttle, biggertyres, etc) and they usually say something like "Cool tyres" or "really neatidea, that hand-throttle".
