jeep parts : I'm on a major cleaning binge and dumping a lot of the stuff that I'veaccumulated over the past 5 years, including literally selling thewide-trak axles out from under my current CJ-8. These babies are lockedand loaded and I did Moab Easter Jeep Safari, Smoky Mountain Trek, lots oftough wheeling and countless Jamborees with them under my Jeep. They bothhave new ARBs in them (the Model 20 with a brand-new 4 spider gear design),Moser one piece axles and 3:73 gears. I figure it would cost you$1,300-1,500 to upgrade each of the axles in your rig to these specs(without building a D44, D60 or Ford 9", which would cost bucks....I know,Tri County is building a D44 and D60 spring-over for me to replace theseaxles....$5k, yikes) between the ARB installation and new R&P set-up. Youcan bolt these in and go do White Knuckle hill and Double Whammy(carefully).. 3:73s are a respectable gear ratio as you can still get 40:1crawl ratio in a stock CJ with a T-5 and a 50:1 crawl if you have a grannylow T-18 and S20 (like I have) and still have a respectable highwaycapability. Call me on these babies.

jeep parts : Are there any good aftermarket parts/accessories suppliers inToronto/southern Ontario region? I've heard about "Jeep Thrills" and"Just Jeeps". Are they any good? I just wanna go shopping ;)I prefer Jeep Thrills. They have a great bunch of folks there anddecent prices. Good mechanics too.Just Jeeps has no mechanics, lots of parts, but I find them pricey. Usethem because stuff for my 86 CJ7 can be hard to find sometimes.By the by, if you live in the area, we are going on a run on Sunday outnear Mossport Park. 'Bout an hour from Yonge and the 401. Any class ofJeep is welcome. If you are interested, email me for directions andtimes.But I can comment on Jeep Thrills. I was in Ontario for vacation in May andmade at least three trips to see them.Howard is a first rate Jeeper. Very knowledgable and has years (I think hesaid 18) of Jeep experience.The front shop is not very big and has a decent stock. But Howard can getyou anything.The prices are pretty comparable to or less than bringing them in from theUS yourself. But you have the piece of mid that you can return it to a realperson if there are problems.

In 95 I order a pair of Moseraxles from Jerry Dadoon. After about 3 months of waiting I finally askedfor my money back. He told me that he was trying to get them made inToronto by some guy he knows and that they would be just as good asmoser's. Funny why he didn't tell me this when I ordered them. Oh well heended up ordering me the moser ones because he wouldn't give me back mymoney. I never delt with them again.
